Missing stats

    Having just changed hosts I have logged back into the admin area to see my stats and, whilst today’s stats are showing I have no stats for the past months. How do I access this missing data?

    It’s the past six months that are missing. There are stats for several years before that.

    Our logs show we flagged that site at disconnected in November last year, after our servers hadn’t been able to contact that site for other a month. That means no stats were recorded during that time, as Jetpack can only record visits if it has an active connection to the site. So that data simply doesn’t exist, and there’s no way to recover it.

    Even now the Jetpack debugger at https://jetpack.com/support/debug/?url=https://www.sarahlovescards.co.uk/ is showing connection problems for your site, so please make sure with your hosting provider that they’re not blocking or restricting access to XML-RPC on your server in any way, or Jetpack won’t work properly:

    I have spoken to Sitesground about the issues. Can you please confirm that the connection issues with Jetpack have now been resolved.

    One other issue – during the move to my new host Siteground my latest blog post about my top 10 Best Selling cards appears to have vanished.

    Please advise.

  • The Jetpack debugger at https://jetpack.com/support/debug/?url=https://www.sarahlovescards.co.uk/ no longer shows any connection errors for your site, so assuming you no longer see any errors in your WordPress.com dashboard either, all’s good on that front.

    I’m afraid I’m not able to help with that – as your site is not hosted with us we don’t have any access to the site itself, and your site’s data is not on our servers. If content was lost during a move from one host to another, that’s something those two hosting providers will need to look into.
