Missing support replies

I just received a request to rate my support experience:

Charlie C. recently helped you out with your support request “WordPress.com Help: problem with categories”. Once you’re done working together, we’d appreciate it if you sent us your rating of the experience — your feedback helps us improve our support. Didn’t see our email reply? Please check your spam folder for a missed message before rating us.

However, I never received the support reply.

This already happened to me last year for my other blog: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/missing-support-replies?replies=5.

I looked at the Gmail issues page but did not solve the issue neither in that case nor in this.

    Can you help. Thanks, Matteo

  • Hmm, and it wasn’t in your spam or social folder?

thanks for your reply. There was nothing in my spam from WordPress, and I do not have any categories or tabs enabled, other than unread or important. I only received the initial automatic confirmation of submission, and the request for feedback. Same exact thing last year with the other blog.

Can you have Charlie include a copy of his reply on this thread?
IS there anything else I can try to fix this, orWP staff can try?

  • Here was Charlie’s reply:

I noticed you’ve stickied all of your posts. Sticky posts are meant to pin specific posts to the top of your feed, so if you sticky all posts, it’s the same as stickying none. However, when all posts are sticky, you’ll notice odd errors like missing posts.

If you unsticky the two color wheel posts, you’ll see them appear on the category page again. I recommend unstickying your posts unless you specifically want to pin a few to the top of the page.

OK, I will try that, and post back to let you know if it worked. Thanks for the suggestion

Unsticking the posts worked. I’d started some time ago as I wanted 2 or 3 posts I did not like to be at the bottom instead of getting rid of them. it became a (bad) habit. Thank you for the suggestion.

  • Great to hear! Glad I could help.
