Missing toolbar

  Why cannot I see a toolbar above the post editing screen in WordPress blog? All I see is the box for the heading to be typed in.

  That’s how the new block editor works. When you start typing a post you’ll see a few more options such as bold/italics etc. Colour and text settings are via the “cog” top right. If you want a more traditional toolbar click on the + in a circle top left. Then “Add block” “classic”.
