Missing widgets
-
Hello, I am using the Cutline theme by Chris Pearson and while trying to add in the RSS feed my widgets have disappeared. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Is there anything I need to do to get the widgets back? My blog doesn’t look that great without them.
I added 5 widgets and it was fine about an hour ago, but now they don’t appear. If anyone can help, I would be extremely happy.
Thanks in advance.
Cheers,

We need a link to your blog. In the meantime, you might find the answer here:

Thanks very much. My blog is: http://dominiquehind.wordpress.com
I will try and have a look now.
Thanks,

The widgets are down at the bottom. Take a look at this FAQ http://faq.wordpress.com/2008/05/30/why-is-my-sidebar-at-the-bottom-of-my-posts/

I have done some investigation and a few posts said to shorten the titles of different elements. I have tried to shorten a few of the titles, but this still hasn’t moved the widget back up to the top. Any other suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

Yes, I have and still can’t find anything. I have been adding a number of links to the blogroll, do you think that this may have an impact on it?

Did you set your blog to one post at a time to figure out which one is the offending post as instructed by the FAQ?
Did you read this http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/11/09/why-not-to-use-word/
-
Not likely. Usually it is: images or tables too large for the column; the Read More tag splitting other html tags; or pasting from MS Word.
-
I can’t see what it is, but the post titled “Missed opportunity Microsoft’s ads – Seinfield & Gates” seems to be responsible. In FF and Safari, the bottom of that post actually goes over the top of the post below it. Something is really mucked up in that post.
Temporarily “unpublish” that post and see if things don’t go back to normal.

The code you are pasting in for ‘Related articles by Zemanta’ is causing all kinds of problems. The code is using a float that isn’t cleared as well as other things. I cleared up the one in the latest post a little bit, but there are still some problems.
-
Thank you everyone for your comments. I will remove all of the Zemanta links, unpublish the latest post and see how I go.
Really appreciate your help.

Hi Dom,
my name is Gasper Koren and I am responsible for QA at Zemanta. I am trying to reproduce your error but without success. I also see that you are still using Zemanta for images, links and related articles. Do you still experience some problems using Zemanta? If so, please drop us an email to (email visible only to moderators and staff) or on our support forums at http://getsatisfaction.com/zemanta
Cheers,
Gasper
