Missing widgets in dashboard

  Hello

  I knocked up a little website for my club at https://bertwerdenblog.wordpress.com/. However, when I try and replicate it on the clubs server using the same theme (or any theme in fact) – a number of the widgets including Twitter, Facebook, Gallery etc are missing.

  Do these widgets only work on the wordpress.com site? If so, do I need to download plugins on the other server to replicate them?

  Be aware that there are WordPress.COM in house widgets that are not included in the WordPress.ORG software install. That is why you need plugins. Install the JetPack plugin and scroll down that page to “Every feature!” so you know what that plugin includes.
