missing Word Press notifications about new followers

WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO THE NEW FOLLOWERS NOTIFICATIONS BY EMAIL FROM WORD PRESS ??? undesirable commercial bloggers and Mature content blogs are following my blog but I no longer receive a Word Press notifications about these less than desirable bloggers. How do they get around Word Press and are not caught by Word Press ? I find them only if I check the list of followers in my stats. I am very angry about the Mature content and fowl language blogs and that get through. What can I do ? I must report a Mature content blog that just entered my followers list – where do I do that ? IT DOES NOT HAVE THE RIGHT-HAND ‘NOTIFY WP’ OPTION at the top.
    Many thanks, Vera

Could you please explain your questions in more detail?

Do you mean that you don’t get notification about new followers in your notification section at https://wordpress.com/notifications ? or do you mean e-mail notifications?

Thank you for your reply! I mean that when I open my followers list from the dashboard I find new following bloggers for whom I did not receive an email from WP. I do get some notifications by email about some new followers but not all. Especially the ones that are commercial, have foul language, or Mature content – I find them listed in the followers but I did not receive your regular email telling me that they started following.
I was emailed about just one new follower in that category – but several others appear in the list of followers without my ever having heard about it. I DO CHECK MY SPAM FOLDER REGULARLY – your emails have never ended in it. Thru Google email I filter the names I do not want to hear from, and I monitor all comments on my blog – but how do people become followers without my knowing about it when they start ? is that spamming ???
I am going to report the Mature-content blog to WP – I did find the proper place where to do that. Thank you for your time and attention.
I will now go the notifications link you sent me – I think I was not aware of it. You’ll hear from me if THAT solves the issue.
    Best regards, Vera

With a public blog anyone could basically follow your blog. Thanks for reporting those mature blog. Feel free to send me the usernames or e-mail addresses of those followers if you want me to remove them from your blog.

    Thank you.

Yes I understand that mine is a public blog. Anyone seeking to sell stuff can add their follow – but I do not keep a visible running list of followers in my posts. And Gmail allows me to apply a filter function. What really bothers me is a blog with unsuitable subjects, explicit / implicit sexual posts, grossly vulgar language and subject matter.
I did not put the one address that I really do not like – due to gross subject matter – because I thought that this exchange is public and I did not want to give that blog any publicity. If you give me a private return address I will send you the URLs of this particular blogger.
And I do get followers notifications in the dashboard where you told me to check. I must have missed some. Thank you for your help !!
