Misspelled my email

I’m trying to activate my account and I pulled a moronic move and misspelled my email address.
What is says on my IHHOYE profile is ‘(email visible only to moderators and staff)’ I forgot the ‘c’ in ‘.com’ so I cannot activate my account nor can I correct it because I was in a rush the first time around.
Are you able to help?

There is a single email address that can be used on only one username account and not on any others.
You can change your email address on your accounts page at https://wordpress.com/me/account

When I was signing up….I misspelled my email, I forgot the .com so it says .om
I have no real email on file and I’m stuck….I cannot activate my page and I cannot add another email because it wasn’t activated in the first place. I also cannot delete the account because I have to have an email sent to me….but there’s no email address because there is no .com

Hi @ihhoye, @timethief is right — you should be able to update your email address here:
https://wordpress.com/me/account
It will send confirmation to the new account. Once that’s done, I may need to verify the account from this end, too, so please update us here when you’ve changed it.

I am trying to make this as clear as possible.
When I was signing up for wordpress, I did my username and entered an email address….then wordpress sent an email confirmation to that email address, BUT I misspelled that initial address wrong. Therefore, no email was sent to me, I cannot change the current email because I have to confirm the first one (which is spelled incorrectly) and i cannot delete my account because I need to confirm the account but I cannot do that because it is sending an email to the email address that is misspelled

@ihhoye, and to be perfectly clear here, you actually can change the address on the account, even if the first address was not confirmed. We know people will typo an address sometimes, so we built in functionality to fix it.
If you’re getting an error, it’s for some other reason. It looks like in your case, you actually already have a different account under the correct email address. I’ll email you. with a suggestion.
