Misspelled word blog URL

  The person who set this up for me misspelled the word, “emergency”. How do I change that, or must I dump this and start all over again? He put “emeregencyplans.wordpress.com”. It should be “emergencyplans.wordpress.com”.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Just create a new blog with that URL from the Manage My Blogs section of your global dashboard and import the contents, if any, into that. Set the old blog private, because it’s very useful to have a “spare” blog to play around with themes and widgets.

  http://.wordpress.com/emergencyplans belongs to someone already so you won’t be able to use that URL: WordPress.com will not take an address away from someone who owns it.

  You can change your current address to something else like so:
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/changing-blog-address/
  Or…
  You could look into a paid upgrade called domain mapping. The underlying link to your site won’t be seen by your readers.
