Mistake setting up domain

I purchased the premium site on April 3rd. I didn’t know that I could transfer my old domain to wordpress so I tried to use a domain close to my old domain.
I checked out and paid $96.00 for the domain. I now have the code to transfer my domain to wordpress. The problem I’m having is that when I tried to transfer
my old domain from another site. It is asking me to paid the $96 again. I called to try to fix the problem and I was told to email support at wordpress.
I would like to transfer my old domain(www.ncpiedmontsports.com).to wordpress without paying again.

You wouldn’t be asked to pay the full $96 again if you were logged in to the account/site where you bought the Premium plan. Have you more than one account?
The phone number you called has no connection with WordPress.com and no doubt it would have been an expensive call you made to a company with no access to your site. -
That is correct, we do not offer phone support, but there is a scam company out there who claims to be us, so I recommend you cease communication and change any passwords you gave them immediately.
We currently don’t have any history of payment under the account you’re currently logged in with, and using a custom domain here does require a paid plan, even if it’s a transfer: https://wordpress.com/support/move-domain/incoming-domain-transfer/
Once the domain is transferred, we’ll add an extra year to its existing registration time.
