Mistaken Purchase

  Hello, my team members bought a domain separately by mistake instead of upgrading the free site to the monthly hosted plans. Can we convert the amount I paid (15 GBP for domain only) into a monthly subscription for one year (3GBP per month)? This is a relatively recent purchase (less than a week) so hopefully the mistake is salvagable!

  Hi there, once you purchase an annual plan for the site from https://wordpress.com/plans please let us know here, and we can issue a refund for the separate domain registration. :)

  Thank you. So does this mean I should not choose ‘upgrade’ anymore? Because when I click that, it allows me to choose other domain name options. It’s not clear how to link up the one we bought!

  Hi there,

  For now, when selecting your plan, you can skip the sections where you are asked to pick a custom domain (stick with the provided “WordPress.com” domain for now) and proceed with your purchase.

  Once you have added it to your account, we will bundle the domain with your plan on our end and issue a refund for the registration fee (since the plan includes that fee.)

  Please note that you must pick from the yearly option for any of our plans. The monthly plan option does not include a free domain, so we will not be able to refund you if you pick this option.

  When I click Fair4AHPs.com – the URL forwards to FAIR4AHPs.wordpress.com – how do we have it show up as FAIR4AHPs.com only?

  Oh, you’ll want to set the domain as your primary address for that. Here you will find detailed instructions on how to do it:
