mistakenly created an account
-
I have been trying to add a profile picture and went to Gravatar. However, it said ‘… doesn’t exist.’ I ended up creating an account nesingletyahoocom, which I don’t want at all. Am I supposed to delete this? I’m afraid if I delete it I will be deleting my real blog. Please help me understand this.

WordPress.com logins are needed to create a Gravatar, so you did the right thing. Your blog sounds like it uses WordPress.org software on another host, and so you didn’t already have an account here. Here’s a bit about the differences- https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
You can change the username on WordPress.com if having something like an email is not what you want. Your WordPress.com username isn’t connected to your site, it’s a login for WordPress.com. Here’s how to change your username: https://en.support.wordpress.com/change-your-username/
Deleting this account won’t impact your site on another host, but that won’t help you in creating a Gravatar. To create a Gravatar, make sure the emails on this account and your site’s admin account match. Then upload an image here: https://wordpress.com/me
*If the emails don’t match, login to Gravatar with your WordPress.com login to add additional emails and assign images to your emails.Hope that all helps to understand!
