Mistakenly deleted the WP.com site, to which equinoxpdx.com is mapped…help!!

  I had two listings on the My Sites roster, for the same site, but one was the wordpress.com backend to a domain registered through a domain registrar (1and1). I wanted to delete the one that showed no signs of activity, per the Stats sheet, not knowing that would take down my “equinoxacupunctureandmassage.wordpress.com” backend.

  I am rebuilding the site on another WP.com site, and I need to change the DNS and nameservers connections.

  What should I do…deal with the domain registrar for remapping to equinoxpdx.wordpress.com, or is that done through WP.com?

  Shoot…I didn’t this would stump the WP Tech crew! I have just located a possible key in the Upgrades area. It seems that would let me redirect to a new backend. Any help people could offer will be greatly appreciated.

  If you deleted the site with the domain mapping you probably deleted the access to the domain mapping settings – the staff can move the mapping to another site for you

  to help the staff, using small clear words exactly what do you want moved from what blog to the new blog

  I have flagged this for staff attention

  Thank you for the encouraging response! I rebuilt/replaced the wordpress.com site that was deleted (equinoxacupunctureandmassage.wordpress.com), and the new url is equinoxpdx.wordpress.com.

  The equinoxpdx.com domain was attached to equinoxacupunctureandmassage.wordpress.com, and equinoxpdx.com now pulls up an error message,

  “equinoxacupunctureandmassage.wordpress.com is no longer available.
  The authors have deleted this site.”

  I just need equinoxpdx.com mapped to equinoxpdx.wordpress.com, but I am curious if, next time I screw up, the upgrade feature can be the solution?? Here is what I see…

  Domain: equinoxpdx.com
  Domain Mapped to WordPress.com
  Status: Active, Manual Renewal

  DNS is correct
  Cancel
  Transfer to another site

  If so, I may have already corrected the problem, but perhaps not.
