Mistakenly purchased a plan for the wrong site

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hello,
I was trying to upgrade my aliveinfrance.wordpress.com site to have a new domain name: http://www.aliveinfrance.blog or http://www.aliveinfrance.com

I made a mistake (not realising that I have another site called aliveinfrance.blog.wordpress.com which was started and not completed), I purchased the domain name for that site instead.

    Please could you help me:
    a) change the plan to be for the aliveinfrance.wordpress.com site.
    b) delete the aliveinfrance.blog.wordpress.com site.
    c) or cancel my recently purchased plan so that I can start again.

    Thank you.

    Kind Regards,
    Callie Phillips

    Hi there!

It looks like you registered a domain, not a WordPress.com plan, and you’ve since canceled it for a refund.

You can upgrade the correct site by going to https://wordpress.com/plans and choosing the desired WordPress.com site.

If you wish to use the domain aliveinfrance.blog, we must restore it for you, as you won’t be able to register the canceled domain again.

With a yearly WordPress.com plan, you will get the first year’s domain registration free of cost. So, I suggest upgrading to a yearly WordPress.com plan first and then replying here with the link to the site you’d like to use your domain on. We can restore aliveinfrance.blog and move it to the upgraded site for you.

Feel free to let us know if you have more questions.
