Mistylook blog post navigation

I’ve scoured the forums, looked at the basic style sheet, tried the theme in a private test blog of mine and then trawled through various setting pages, and even had a look at sadish’s site about this theme and can’t find a clue on this! Please help.
In Mistylook, if you click into a blog posting so you are on the single-page/single post format (not the whole homepage 10 articles to the page type page), there appears to be NO way to navigate to next or prior posting. I do not have Mistylook in a public blog yet, but look, for example at malvedos.wordpress.com – click into any entry, and there is no where to go next (they have a calendar in the sidebar, but there’s nothing in the post page itself to take you forward or back to next).. Versus, look at my blog (on the 2010 theme) at winewomantravel.wordpress.com, click into any single post and at both top and bottom of posting you can see clickable titles of next and prior posting, with an arrow, and a reader can easily move to adjacent post.
So: please tell me, how can I add this click to next or prior article function to a Mistylook theme? Thanks very much!

Yes, MistyLook has no previous/next nav tabs on single posts, and it’s by no means an isolated case – see here:

If you want such links, you’ll have to add them manually.

Panos, thanks very much for this, and for the link and all the information on your site – which is now bookmarked for future reference. When you say “add manually” – are we talking html code or something to be dropped into every post? If so, that would probably be way over my head right now, so may have to re-think theme choice. Thanks again.

You’re welcome. Yes, manually means copying the URLs of previous/next posts and creating links to them (using html code or using the link button of the editor) at the end of each post; definitely not worth the pain.

I can attest: not worth the pain—did it for some months of my blog and just let it go. Some things are just not worth doing.

Didn’t I read somewhere that wp is planning to add page navigation to all themes? Or is that a wishful thinking dream I had?

(cheese, it’s bad if I’m dreaming about wordpress…)

Panos, you are a star, thanks very much – and 1Tess for your advice as well. I’m sorted at this point, if you want to close this thread.

You, as the original poster, are the one who has to mark this thread as resolved, up on the top right (I think)
