Misuse of Email
-
Someone is using my email for their wordpress account. (email visible only to moderators and staff) is my email and I was surprised when WordPress was asking me to login when I commented on http://nintendo-okie.com because I “have a wordpress account”.
I don’t know who is writing on bahalana06.wordpress.com, but it’s definitely not me.
I don’t want this person to lose his/her blog either, so maybe support can contact this person and tell him/her to use their own email instead of someone else’s.
Thanks~

When we suspect our email address and/or our blog has been hacked we do these things:
See here to disable post by email > http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-by-email/
Go here > Dashboard > Users > All Users and delete any username you find there that is not authorized to have access to your blog.
Go here and immediately change your password to a very strong password >
http://en.support.wordpress.com/passwords/#change-your-password
Go to your rmail account change your password to a very strong password
Read this section carefully and know if you are posting by phone it was probably your email account that was hacked to gain access to your blog.

Uhm, no, you misunderstand.
Someone made a wordpress account using my email.
They then made a blog using this account.I don’t know how exactly that happened, but it did.
I don’t think anyone hacked anything…
If anything, I am the one “hacking” this account, because I reset the password, and it went to my email.I would just like to use my email to create a wordpress account (if I want to),
and let bahalana06 continue updating his/her blog using their own email, because his/her posts are quite cute. :)Would this be possible?

If they made a blog using your email, you MUST change your email password. They couldn’t make a blog without going into your email and clicking a link. That means they are in your email account. If you got your password to WP.com emailed to your email account, they have that too. First change your email password, THEN change your WordPress password.

…erk. Alright, looks like I need to check for key loggers in my computer too.
Thanks, guys… I feel bad for bahalana06, but… =/
