Mix folio theme help for images

I just switched to the theme Mixfolio, when i click on the thumbnail of an image the link opens but the image is not visible as i get a tab which says image , info and comments . i have to click on info tab to see the image. can you help me for how do i reach directly to the image instead of reaching to a blank link without image and then press info tab. please help

That’s an oddity. Hadn’t noticed that before. I believe this might be a result of leaving the post content area empty with the Mixfolio theme. Perhaps the theme demands some “info” about the featured image of a post, and if none is provided it makes the image itself “info.”

Hey Thanks for that input … but i tried doing what you suggested but still the same problem persist , what could be the reason for it i am still unable to find… if a visitor clicks on the image link of the thumbnail he/she will land up at a location where there is no image

Hello! I just took a look at the demo for the Mixfolio theme:

The images here seem to behave the same way you’re describing. Some of our themes don’t utilize the Featured Image on the single post page. From what I can see, Mixfolio is one of those themes.
Did you used to see the Featured Image on the single post page, and it’s now missing?

ashokvermablog’s website instead has, for all of the posts I”ve checked among the front page grid items, just the title (and the links) at the Image tab, and the images displayed on the Info tab.

Hi Please guide me now what should i do as the problem still exists .
i have just moved to this theme Shawna so this is what is happening since i moved on to this theme.
on the home page when i click on the thumbnails of the images to view it, it lands up at the page where image is not displayed in the image tab rather to view it the info tab needs to be clicked which is weird , as my blog is a photo blog so it will be confusing for the people visiting my blog to understand as to where is the image when they want to see the full size image on the click on the thumbnail. Please Guide, or elese i have no option to move on to a new theme…. :( but i guess you guys are professionals to sort these types of problems… maybe its a programming fault, i am just guessing. Looking fwd to hear from you guys with some solution to this. -
It’s true that most of the grid images in the 2011 post archives page of the demo, https://mixfoliodemo.wordpress.com/2011/, do not appear in or above the single posts they link to as featured images normally do on most themes, but why then does the “A Temple in Bali” image appear at the “Image” tab of the single post, https://mixfoliodemo.wordpress.com/2011/10/23/a-temple-in-bali/, with the text on a separate page, reached via the “Info” tab? If “A Temple in Bali” is a featured image, and not post content (Is it post content?) and it displays on the single post at the “Image” tab, then why don’t all of the featured images in the archives page display in the same manner?

I don’t know the technical aspect of the whole thing and its just my request to the wordpress staff to solve this prblem or guide me what can be done to sort this out. I am not looking for explanations and definitions and theory to understand the theme…. I am looking for a way in which i can get the Problem sorted…
Its been 2 days and till now no effect for this… So sad this is such a big blog organization and they can solve it… They should check the theme creator. Maybe i am doing something wrong while uploading pictures or the way they need to be posted as per this particular theme.
Hope to Get some Solution. Or can any one guide me who to complain about this problem -

My last post was directed primarily to staff, and I think Shawna or another staff member will get back to this issue. You may add a “modlook” tag to the right sidebar again which will ensure that staff is notified that the issue is unresolved.

In order for the tabs to appear across the top displaying the image in one tab and “info” (this is the post content) in another, you need to use one of the supported post types. The two post types that support this are Image and Gallery.
For example, this is an Image post:
https://mixfoliodemo.wordpress.com/2011/10/23/a-temple-in-bali/
And this one is a Gallery post:
https://mixfoliodemo.wordpress.com/2011/11/15/fall-in-luxembourg/
This theme does not utilize the Featured Image on the single post page of posts with the formats Standard, Quote, Link, or Video.
There’s nothing to fix here as this is how the theme was designed. If you’d like the image to appear on the single post page as well as in the thumbnail grid, you should include the image in your post content as well as setting it as your Featured Image.
