Mixcloud supported on wordpress.com?
-
Hi,
I saw a post from 2010 but nothing recent. I cannot embed the html on wordpress.com.
It seems that mixcloud is not supported. Is that correct?
TnxThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

To embed it you need to convert the embed code into a shortcode. We can show you if you paste the code here (between backticks).
-
Thanks very much. By (backticks) I am hoping you mean parentheses?

By backticks I meant backticks – shown right below the Reply text field here.
Copy this:
<embed src="ETC ETC ETC ETC"></object>
and turn it to this:
[gigya src="ETC ETC ETC ETC" ]If you wish you can add this part below it as it is:
<p style=ETC ETC</p>Paste into HTML post or page editor, of course.
For more on this see here:

Thank you for the suggestion and the link.
One last question.
I created the gigya code below and posted and when I publish it says “Widget path does not exist, cannot load the player”.
Would that indicate anything to you?[gigya src="http://www.mixcloud.com/media/swf/player/mixcloudLoader.swf?feed=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.mixcloud.com%2Fthe45shootout%2Ftlp-012-vaughn-benjamin-midnite-and-andrew-bassie-campbell%2F&embed_uuid=75af2ed6-855f-449b-aa47-7b8ea0366393&embed_type=widget_standard" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="opaque" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" height="100" width="480"]

Mixcloud widget doesnt seem to work with back ticks unless I did something wrong.
If anyone has any thoughts I would be grateful

The backiticks are meant only to be used here in the forum so we can examine the code. What they do is prevent the code from executing here. There are no backiticks in the code you use on your blog.

ok. thanks. if “[” is a back tick and i remove them when i post the code below into the blog i get text http://partywithtlp.wordpress.com/

The backtick is found in lower case on the same key as the tilde ~
It’s the key to the immediate left of the number 1 key on your keyboard. -
understood. this short code below. i think i have it right but its not working
[gigya src=http://www.mixcloud.com/media/swf/player/mixcloudLoader.swf?feed=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.mixcloud.com%2Fthe45shootout%2Fthe-leroy-smart-listening-party%2F&embed_uuid=66b81316-ced8-4b04-b69f-fd7f32dc0914&embed_type=widget_standard" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="opaque" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" height="100" width="480"] -

Mmmm… I’m trying to understand this… What I need to do to embed my mixcloud stuff on WP?
Between backticks?
<div><object width="300" height="300"><param name="movie" value="http://www.mixcloud.com/media/swf/player/mixcloudLoader.swf?feed=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.mixcloud.com%2FDltfl%2Fmagic-show-meltdown%2F&embed_uuid=b141f01b-50d6-4976-ab09-bb94b23da997&embed_type=widget_standard"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="wmode" value="opaque"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.mixcloud.com/media/swf/player/mixcloudLoader.swf?feed=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.mixcloud.com%2FDltfl%2Fmagic-show-meltdown%2F&embed_uuid=b141f01b-50d6-4976-ab09-bb94b23da997&embed_type=widget_standard" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="opaque" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="300" height="300"></embed></object><div style="clear:both; height:3px;"></div><p style="display:block; font-size:12px; font-family:Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; margin:0; padding: 3px 4px; color:#999;"><a href="http://www.mixcloud.com/Dltfl/magic-show-meltdown/?utm_source=widget&utm_medium=web&utm_campaign=base_links&utm_term=resource_link" target="_blank" style="color:#02a0c7; font-weight:bold;">Magic show meltdown</a><span> by </span><a href="http://www.mixcloud.com/Dltfl/?utm_source=widget&utm_medium=web&utm_campaign=base_links&utm_term=profile_link" target="_blank" style="color:#02a0c7; font-weight:bold;">Dltfl</a><span> on </span><a href="http://www.mixcloud.com/?utm_source=widget&utm_medium=web&utm_campaign=base_links&utm_term=homepage_link" target="_blank" style="color:#02a0c7; font-weight:bold;"> Mixcloud</a></p><div style="clear:both; height:3px;"></div></div> -
I have explained that above. You copy this part of the code:
<embed src="ETC ETC ETC ETC ETC"></embed>
turn it to this:
[gigya src="ETC ETC ETC ETC ETC" ]
and paste the result in the HTML post or page editor. -
