Mixfolio postthumbnails not working

  Hi! Just got wordpress yesterday do I don’t know alot about it. Tried to search the internet to find an answer to my question but couldn’t, so now I’ll try here.
  I am using the mixfolio theme http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/mixfolio/ and if I understood it correct those images on the main page are posts, if you click the image you get to the post. Yet when I post no thumbnail image shows up, it’s just a dark square: http://alecdesu.wordpress.com/ I looked at another blog with this theme and it worked fine, so what am I doing wrong?
