Mixfolio – problems centering title text

  I’m very new to CSS and working on a site for my partner. I have managed to change the colour of the font and am looking to center both the title and the tagline. I am using the following code:

  #branding h1 a, #branding .brand {
  color: #8DB600; text-align: center
  }

  #branding h2, #branding .brand {
  color: #8DB600; text-align: center;
  }

  The tagline [what I presume is h2] is fine. It is the right colour and centered. The header, on the other hand, is the right colour [so h1 is working] but refuses to center.

  Any patient advice appreciated.
