Mobile access location request while viewing site
-
Hi all,
I visited my site’s latest post on Chrome 35 for Android after getting a new smartphone (yay!), only to have a layover appear at the bottom of my phone’s screen which stated that “yarnaholic.wordpress.com wants to use your device’s location. Allow/Deny”
For what possible reason would my site need visitors’ location info? Personally, I find this incredibly annoying.
Thanks for any insight

I knew it was you. :) Interestingly enough, I’m also a knitter, though answering support questions has meant I no longer knit as much as I used to.

Of course. ;)
I recently realigned my priorities. Still not nearly enough time for knitting.

I will be realigning my priorities also in the near future. This afternoon I get yet another scan. SIGH …

We’ve had a couple other reports of that message, and I’ve asked our team to look into why that’s popping up. I’ll let you know when I have more information about that. :)

Alrighty, this should be fixed! If you see that location request again, please let me know. :) Thanks for reporting it!
