mobile comment functions don't work
-
Hello,
when I read comments on my iPhone 4S (iOS7), the “approve,” “trash,” and “spam” icons don’t seem to work. In addition, when I open the dashboard on my Mac, comments are still marked as new/unviewed even though I’ve already viewed them on mobile.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hey Lon,
Can you let me know what version of the app you’re currently running? You can find this by navigating to Me -> Settings -> About within the app.
When I tested this feature out with the latest version of the app, the controls worked correctly on my side. Depending on who is commenting (whether they have an approved comment or not), some comments will require your approval and will appear with a checkmark by default (which means you must approve it). Others (with previously approved comments) should appear with a checkmark and a slash meaning the comment is already approved but you can unapprove it.

Hi Jeremey,
Version 4.2. I understand the display of the functions you described. However, when I tap. No change. Nothing happens on the app and the intended change is not communicated to the web version when I check.
When I tap “trash” or “spam” what is supposed to occur (visually) in the app?

Hey Lon,
When you tap the “Trash” icon or the “Spam” icon, the message should disappear, and you’ll be diverted back to your main notifications screen with a list of all of your notifications. That’s occurring on my side. Not yours?
I did notice a bit of wonkiness with the approval icon. It seems like you can only use the icon one time. After you click to approve or unapprove a comment, it doesn’t work again until you visit the main notifications screen and then tap on the comment again. I reported this to our developers.

no. I’ve never had that happen. Want to test it now with a fake comment? I’ll try to trash it and see if this happens.

Hey Lon,
I just dropped a test comment on your most recent post. Let me know if the trash icon doesn’t work as expected!

Thanks. I tapped it, and saw no instant change, but then the comment panel slid to the right to show the comment list screen. This is the first time I recall seeing this. Let’s consider this closed, but if I run into another relevant detail, I’ll contact you again with the exact scenario.
Thanks, Lon
