Mobile menu dropdown click region, how can I increase it?

    I’m helping someone out with their WordPress website, but I have very little knowledge of WordPress myself. I’m trying to figure out how I can make the expand/fold arrows in the mobile menu trigger on the whole list item rather than just the icon itself. I made a recording that shows where I can click on the mobile version to open the sub-menu: https://i.imgur.com/dmtZcgA.mp4.

    The setup seems to be a Horizontal menu that I can find in the theme builder and the option “Parent Menu Items Clickable” is enabled. If disable that and the option “Show Submenu On” becomes available with “Hover” and “Click”. Unfortunately the preview option doesn’t seem to change anything though.

    The menu seems to be set up to have the parent be a “modified link” (Aangepaste link in Dutch). I would imagine this should’ve been a category instead because the link is just set to go to # and does not seem to have a page attached to them.

    As I have basically no experience with the tools in WordPress, can anyone point me into the right direction? I don’t want to modify these settings and break their website without informing myself.
