Mobile optimisation doesn't work anymore
-
Hi, I have two WordPress sites: zivizivot.wordpress.com and sovelebit.wordpress.com connected to domains zivizivot.com and sovelebit.eu. Both sites are mobile optimised and work great on mobile devices while accessed via original WordPress addresses, but when someone wants to access them via additional web addresses they show in desktop version no matter which device you use to show them. Maybe You can help me with that.
Have a nice day,

Hi filipfilipovic,
I’ve checked both of your sites on a mobile phone, and both sites appear to be mobile optimised.
zivizivot.com loads zivizivot.wordpress.com, which shows a mobile theme.
sovelebit.eu loads sovelebit.wordpress.com, which shows the original theme that appears to be mobile optimised.
If you recently changed themes or added any custom CSS to your sites, it might be helpful to clear your mobile browser cache.

Hi Filip,
I checked this on my mobile device as well. Both of them redirect to their .wordpress.com address.
zivizivot.wordpress.com is using Jetpack’s mobile theme while sovelebit.worpdress.com shows the original theme. If you want to turn off/turn on the Jetpack mobile theme, you can do that from Jetpack -> Settings -> Writing tab until you see “Optimize your site for smartphones” options. You can read more about it here: https://jetpack.com/support/mobile-theme/
As @ellybiddle already suggested, try clearing your browser’s cache or try opening your site in a private window.
Let me know how it goes :)

Thank you ellybiddle and shuklasuyogya, everything works OK because I turned off Stealth forwarding on my DynaDot domain account. Can You please try again, I turned it on again so you can what the problem is.
Tnx,

Hi there,
The mobile view of your sites are not working because of the way you have connected your domain.
The correct way to connect a domain to a WordPress.com site is by adding the domain mapping upgrade on WordPress.com, and changing your domain’s name servers at your domain provider.
However, you have no mapping upgrades, and the name servers for both domains are pointed to Dynadot.com. You have domain forwarding set up with them, and are showing your WordPress.com sites at the domain using domain masking. This means we have no control at all over how your domain is connected to the sites, and that leaves us unable to detect if someone is viewing your site on a mobile device via the custom domain.
Connecting your domain to your site in this way will also prevent stats, Likes and several widgets from working correctly.
The only way to fix this is to properly connect your domains to your sites using the domain mapping upgrade. Domain mapping is included in all our upgrade plans. You’ll need a separate plan for each site you wish to connect to a custom domain.
