Hey guys i just checked my page speed for mobile and noticed that its quite awful. Is it my theme or what?

Also im looking for a forum site to discuss blogging ideas etc. would this be the best site for that or are there other better ones?
Im really wanting to learn ways to increase my site traffic and learn about ways to get more shares for my content.

There is not much you can do to improve speed on WordPress.com BUT there are a couple options.
1. Make excerpts appear on the front page. http://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/more-tag/
2. Reduce the number of images and blog posts that appear on the front page.
3. Reduce the number of widgets in the sidebar and footer areas.
In your instance you might want to focus on 2 and 3 and see if that helps boost it.
FYI: Your site loads very quickly (via Chrome on a Mac). Though, when I ran your site through google speed test it gave me a 46…which could be the server my computer is pulling the site from.
