Mobile Site Customization (links and nav bar)
-
Hello,
I’m hoping to get some help changing the navigation bar and link color on my mobile menu to black.
I currently use the Linen theme.
Thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi @doddsdynasty!
It looks like your current theme, Linen, is not mobile responsive, so you’re using the separate Mobile Theme instead.
It is possible to target that theme with CSS, but it can be a bit more work since you need to simulate a mobile device to do any testing.
If you want control over the look and feel of your site on mobile, I’d definitely recommend moving to a responsive theme so you can more easily make these kinds of changes :)
This CSS should do what you’ve described – it also makes the search bar black so it matches.
.mobile-theme .menu-search { background: #000; } .mobile-theme .nav-menu a { color: #000; } .mobile-theme .search-form #s { background: #000; border-left: 1px solid #333; }Let me know how it looks!

Thank you for the help! The CSS did make the nav menu black, the only thing that did not change is the link color. I’m not as concerned with that, but if you do know of a way to fix it that would be awesome.
Thanks for the feedback and the help with the nav bar!

The second style in that block should be changing the link colors or your menu – did you mean the link color on the whole site?
If so, just remove the .nav-menu part of the second style.
Just keep in mind, if you make all of your links match the rest of the text, there probably won’t be anything to indicate to your readers what is a link and what isn’t.

That did the trick! Sorry I should’ve been more clear on the link part. Thank you so much for the help!
