Mobile site redirect?
-
Hi,
I created a mobile site for easier navigation from mobile devices, and would like to have my .com site automatically redirect to my .mobi site when accessed from a mobile device, like most web sites do now. Since I am hosting with you, and would really like to continue doing so, I am wondering how can I add the code that would do this, or if you guys would do that for me, or what.
My WP site doesn’t look good on a mobile device the way it is now, even with the mobile option turned on; it’s very hard to navigate and you have to scroll all the way down to see the call-to-action buttons. Apparently everybody is going mobile now so this is an issue for my business!
Please advice.
Thanks,
Yol

Unfortunately, that level of tweaking (device-specific redirect) is a bit beynd the scope of what can be done at WordPress.com. The best we can offer is the mobile-specific theme via Appearance -> Mobile.

Hi,
Thanks for your reply. This means that I’ll have to host my own WP site to add the redirect code to the header file. So now my question is, will I get a pro-rated refund for all the upgrades I have purchased with you guys (domain redirect, video, extra space, no ads, etc.)?
Thanks,
Yol

We can only issue refunds within 30 days of purchase, so at this point you’ll only be able to get a refund on your domain mapping renewal.
