Mobile site redirect?

    Hi,

I created a mobile site for easier navigation from mobile devices, and would like to have my .com site automatically redirect to my .mobi site when accessed from a mobile device, like most web sites do now. Since I am hosting with you, and would really like to continue doing so, I am wondering how can I add the code that would do this, or if you guys would do that for me, or what.

My WP site doesn’t look good on a mobile device the way it is now, even with the mobile option turned on; it’s very hard to navigate and you have to scroll all the way down to see the call-to-action buttons. Apparently everybody is going mobile now so this is an issue for my business!

    Please advice.

    Thanks,

    Yol

  • Unfortunately, that level of tweaking (device-specific redirect) is a bit beynd the scope of what can be done at WordPress.com. The best we can offer is the mobile-specific theme via Appearance -> Mobile.

    Hi,

Thanks for your reply. This means that I’ll have to host my own WP site to add the redirect code to the header file. So now my question is, will I get a pro-rated refund for all the upgrades I have purchased with you guys (domain redirect, video, extra space, no ads, etc.)?

    Thanks,

    Yol

  • We can only issue refunds within 30 days of purchase, so at this point you’ll only be able to get a refund on your domain mapping renewal.
