Mobile Site/Full Site banner won't go away

  Hey there, I’m having a small problem with my site. I’m not sure what I did, but now whenever I view my site there is a banner at the top that says “Mobile Site | Full Site” even though I’m not using a mobile device. This replaces the WP toolbar, so anytime I want to get to the dashboard I have to type “/wp-admin”. Here is a screenshot of what it looks like: http://nightofthelivingshreddotnet.files.wordpress.com/2011/02/picture-11.png I tried reseting my browser, and clearing my cache/cookies/etc but that doesn’t seem to work.

  I also have no idea of knowing if it looks the same for everyone who views my site, or if people get directed to the mobile version even. If anyone knows how to remedy this, I would appreciate it so much!

  Hi. Are you referring to nightofthelivingshred.net? It looks like WordPress.COM thinks you are using a mobile device. What browser/version do you use? If you are using Mozilla Firefox, perhaps you have the User Agent Switcher addon or something similar?

  Try this test… go to a website that you know automatically redirects you to a mobile version when appropriate, for example CNN. If you automatically land on their mobile version even when not using a mobile device, then you know it’s your browser.

  This being said, if you want to completely disable the mobile version on WP.com for everyone, here’s how:

  Hey Airodyssey, thanks for the help! I checked out CNN and it didn’t take me to a mobile site. I’m using Safari and I haven’t had any problems like this before, so I’m not sure what’s up. But I disabled the mobile version, and everything appears normal now.

  I am having the same problem. No other site on my safari is doing it, and even when I disable the mobile viewing it is STILL showing up.
