Mobile view of website giving error message
-
I recently discovered that I have an error message that appears on mobile when I search my website. The error message is as follows: ‘Apologies, but no results were found for the requested archive. Perhaps searching will help find a related post.’
I currently have a static front page, so I don’t understand why that error would come up. My website is https://threetoascreen.wordpress.com -
Hi @threetoascreen,
According to this old thread, the issue may be in the fact that you’re using a page to set as static, but your blog page is empty.
The weird thing to me is that that appears only on the mobile, whilst it’s OK on desktop. Can you double check if you’ve got any mobile appearance feature switched on? If you have the Mobile feature, you’re going to find it on your Dashboard under ‘Mobile’.
In any case I’m tagging this to the attention of the CSS forum.
Hope that helps! -
Thank you Stefaniamattana,
I checked on the Dashboard, and I was able to change a setting to get it working! However, on the page I selected as my static page, my posts don’t show up anywhere even though I have “Always show posts on the front page” selected. Is there a way to fix this?
Thank you for your assistance. I really appreciate it!

Hello again @threetoascreen,
Glad you managed to fix the first issue. As for the second one, try to disable the default mobile layout. Your theme is already mobile responsive as far as I can see therefore it should be working also with the mobile layout switched off.
Try this way and let me know if you see any improvement ;)
