Mobile viewing

  While the site looks great on the computer and Ipad it is off on the mobile viewing. At first it looks correct but then when you start using it the menu falls down into the featured picture. How do I fix this? It is very important to have everything correct! I called Godaddy and they said this was a WordPress issue.

  Hi Judy!

  This is actually a theme issue with the Zerif Lite theme you’re using on http://www.petpalspetcare.com. This is a third-party theme not supported by WordPress.com. We only support the themes listed here:

  https://themes.wordpress.com

  Since your site is self-hosted and you’re using a third-party theme, I’m afraid I’m not going to be able to help with this particular issue. I would recommend the following:

  1. As a temporary workaround, you could install Jetpack following the steps here:

  http://jetpack.me/support/getting-started-with-jetpack/

  Then, you could enable the mobile theme option here:

  http://jetpack.me/support/mobile-theme/

  That would replace your normal theme on mobile devices with our mobile-ready theme. The menu should be fixed there.

  2. I would encourage you to reach out to the theme creators here:

  http://themeisle.com/forums/

  Also, since it looks like you have moved petpalspetcare.com to a self-hosted site, would you like me to remove the petpalspetcare.com domain mapping on petpalspetcare.wordpress.com? If you’re planning on solely using the self-hosted site moving forward, you will not need this upgrade.

  Ok. I am just a little confused because I am still using a WordPress platform right? My daughters bf will figure this out. Geez!!!

  Correct – you’re still using WordPress, but WordPress comes in two different flavors – WordPress.com and WordPress.org. The difference between the two is broken down here:

  WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

  Your site petpalspetcare.com is a self-hosted site using WordPress.org software. You’re hosting that site through GoDaddy. WordPress.com sites are a bit different in that they’re all hosted here at WordPress.com. We can only support WordPress.com sites, not WordPress.org.
