Moderate Comments
-
Hello,
I have a blog and I don’t want to moderate comments. I want my followers to publish comments without having to go through my approval. Is this possible? If so, how can I set it up?
Thanks! -
Hi,
You can turn off the comment moderation in your Dashboard->Settings->Discussion. Scroll down to “Before a Comment Appears” and make sure both boxes are unchecked. Here’s a support document with more information on comments. https://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/discussion-settings/#before-a-comment-appears

Be keenly aware that the vast and overwhelming majority of all so-called information on the internet is spam. Over 80% of all so-called comments submitted to .wordpress.com blogs every day are spam.
Spam comes in waves. There are human beings who get paid to post spam. There are robotic programs that post spam. Setting up anonymous commenting is akin to throwing down a welcome mat to spammers and phishers and all their buddies too as they sell URLs and email addresses to each other for spamming and phishing purposes.
This page > Settings > Discussion is where you set up defaults for comments.

Other comment settings
_Comment author must fill out name and e-mail
_Users must be registered and logged in to commentNote that the prompt to submit and email address and a website URL will still appear, but providing an email address and logging in are not required, and you cannot change this so the prompt does not appear.
You can post instructions for your visitors in a text widget if you wish to set up anonymous commenting. That’s easy to do. You copy and paste this into a text widget:
Readers: Note that the email address and logging in prompts do appear for comments on this blog, but providing an email address and logging in are not required.
Bottom line: Do be sure to set up full comment moderation on your own blog ie. “An administrator must always approve the comment” because anonymous commenting is bound to increase the amount of spam your blog will receive.

Hello @oshtine @timethief,
Thank you both for your prompt response. I didn’t realize about the potential thread for spams, so thank you for making me aware of that.
