Moderated Commenter
-
I read and moderate comments in my dashboard frequently as I have more than 100 comments per day and many new commenters. I have my settings set to approve the commenter the first time they comment and then they can comment freely after that.
I have one commenter that I have to approve every comment and I do not know why. There are no words/numbers listed in my “blacklist” section that would equate to either their profile info or their comment. I actually want them to comment, but I have to moderate each one.
How can I fix this, or does WordPress possibly keep a “blacklist” of certain IPs where I could request this one be lifted?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi Jen – If you look at the first bit of his IP address, it matches a part of one of the IP addresses you have in your Comment Moderation box here:
https://jensgems.wordpress.com/wp-admin/options-discussion.phpThat will flag inside terms, in addition to complete terms (for example, if you enter WordPress as a term, it will flag any comment with ‘word’ or ‘press’), so even though the IP addresses don’t match, I wonder if perhaps that they have part in common is flagging his comments. Could you please try removing the IP with 97 from your comment moderation box and see if that fixes this? Let me know if not.

Thank you. I deleted all the IP addresses because they are old, so maybe that will do the trick. Thanks so much! I’ll let you know if it happens again.
