Moderating Likes & Follows
-
Hi,
(Apologies in advance if this suggestion has been made before but I could not search the Ideas section on its own to check)
Suggestions:
1) Moderate followers:
What? Please allow us to approve or deny new followers to our blogs. (Email & WP.Com registered users)
How? Simple: approve/deny/hide (i.e. deny but don’t tell follower our decision) option similar to Facebook with a list of followers we can edit at any time.
Why? Prevent unwanted spam followers (email and wp users) and improve stats accuracy. This feature is not intended to prevent access to the blog, but more to help ensure its real people accessing the blog and not just marketeers ruining stats.
Other? Allow this to be a toggled option user wide – i.e. blogger must enable this higher level of follower management for public blogs.
Premium Feature: I would be willing to pay for this feature.2) Moderate likes per page/post
What? Please allow us to show/hide individual likes on a page or post.
How? Simple hide/show an individual like. No notification to the Liker or change of their personal liking the page – just hiding or not hiding it from view on the actual page.
Why? Hides unwanted / inappropriate / spam / mature Likes from pages without bothering WP or the Liker. The blogger should have control over what is displayed on their blog and the current option of entirely removing likes does not provide fine control that would allow us to include Likes.
Other? Allow blogger to enable this feature if they want to have fine control
Premium Feature? I would be willing to pay for this control over my blog in the same way that I can pay to have adverts removed. Thanks
