Moderation

I do not moderate my comments to YZed; however, today I received a comment from a reader which said: ‘please moderate’. I went to the Comments in Moderation, and sure enough that particular comment was waiting to be moderated.

Is this a glitch? Did the contributor of the comment have some way of placing their comment in moderation on my site? What do you suppose happened? Weird.

Were there any links in the comment?

Occasionally one of my readers over on my personal blog gets marked as spam by Akismet or marked for moderation.

This usually happens when they put two or three links into the comment.

It’s not a glitch, it’s another anti-spam measure. Just mark it for approval and away you go. :)

You just got visited by someone who expected their comment to be moderated within seconds and was upset that you didn’t do it right away probably. :)

(And I was thinking it was a moderation issue here in the forums they were talking about…)

One of the things I noticed was that the contributor had placed ‘please moderate’ at the beginning of the comment. I also noticed that my e-mail account had ‘spam’ written at the beginnng of the e-mail. I believe now that it was somehow viewed as spam. It didn’t have any links within it though.

    Thanks,

Please Moderate was probabl inserted by WP rather than the contributor. the word spam was eiher inserted by WP or possibly your mail client.

As I said previously (and exactly what happened to your first comment on my thursday thirteen post – thanks by the way!) sometimes WP just catches them and marks them for moderation rather than letting them go…
