moderation of comments

I am trying to understand why my recent comment perpetually have ‘your comment is awaiting moderation’ and never posts. It contains neither profanity nor anything remotely offensive to anyone. Comments from others with both routinely are allowed. Why would mine be screened out?

I moderate all comments on my blogs and many other bloggers do likewise. Not doing that can result in spam and irrelevant links being automatically posted into comments. https://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/discussion-settings/#comment-moderation
Please post a URL to a post that you commented on that is in moderation so we can check this out for you.

This is the text of my comment. consistently not approved…
“This is absurd and out of control. My countrymen bowing down, literally and figuratively….Behavior like this makes me think it time for a reboot. An asteroid strike, supervolcano eruption…. something… to put an end to it.”
No profanity, no racial epithets… two things that get approved routinely…

Every blogger can choose which comments to approve and which to delete. There is no way to compel them to approve your comment when you see a ‘your comment is awaiting moderation’ after you submit a comment.
Maybe the issue is the fact that your username is linked to a site that does not exist. Some bloggers may not want to approve comments from those who don`t have blogs.
