Modern Alternative Dashboard

  I’ve been using the modern alternative dashboard to enter posts during the past few weeks and really like its simplicity. However, I’m missing out on an option to pick a category for each post. I wind up saving the post as draft, then going into the classic dashboard (or use my iPhone/iPad app) to edit the post category before publishing, which obviously takes away from the simplicity I long for. Are there plans to add post categories to the modern alternative dashboard?

  Hi there – Thanks for the suggestion! Our developers continue to work on the new post form and add features to it, but I’m not sure exactly when categories will be added to it. I’ll pass it along to that team, though, that you’d like that feature soon!
