Modifications to my homepage

please help to resolve below issues
1. how to delete the ‘Leave a comment field and text box’ It doesn’t fit there as per the design. Also if i try to edit the page this section never shows up.
2. On my homepage, I have added a block for blogposts, I want to modify this section. But when i try to modify the homepage this section is not showing up. please advice. -

1. how to delete the ‘Leave a comment field and text box’ It doesn’t fit there as per the design. Also if i try to edit the page this section never shows up.
That’s because comments don’t form part of the page content.
Edit the page and in the editor sidebar select the Page tab. Then click on the Discussion heading. The settings to control comments for individual posts and pages is there.

To help with this I’ll need to know what site you’re speaking of so I can take a look.

I am just trying to create a blog site… the #1 is solved .. if possible i need 1 more help regarding showing featured images for the post in below page
