modify "more" tag and locating index.php

  I’m using twentyeleven and have not purchased the upgrade. can you tell me where index.php is? I want to modify the more tag.

  Does the Custom Design upgrade let me edit HTML?

  Note that it’s possible to change the text for the more tag using the HTML editor in WordPress.com. See http://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/more-tag/#custom-read-more-message for details.
