Modify the style of the footer text
-
Hello,
I have a question for you. Could you explain me how to modify the style of the footer text (color and size) and add own content.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Are you all set with the code you got from chaitanyamsv?
If not let us know and we’ll be happy to help!

Following on from the above question, how do I merge the 2 lines of WP theme info, etc. (footer’s right-side) or can I hid this text completely?
I’m using the Hero theme but with Premium options, so should be able to move restrictions as advertised by WP.

Hi Nilla,
Even with the premium upgrade, we require the footer information you reference to be left intact. From the info page:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/#frequently-asked-questions
All WordPress.com bloggers are required to maintain the Admin Bar (the dark bar that appears at the top of WordPress.com sites when logged in) as well as credit links in the footer, even our VIP bloggers. Please do not hide or alter text or links for the footer credits or the toolbar. Modifying the style of the footer text (i.e. colors and font size) is fine as long as it’s still readable. Using CSS, you can also add content like a copyright notice to the existing footer. If you would like to do that, you can ask in the CSS Customization forum and Staff or our community volunteers would be happy to help you do that.

Hi,
Thanks, but I should be able to have this text on 1 line only, not taking up 2 lines and pushing my first footer further down the page. Also, I’ve changed the font color, which changed everything but the fullstop (period), which still remains the default colour in both sentences.

I can’t put the site info on one line using CSS, but I can move it below your widgets which will hopefully solve the problem about pushing the footer down the page. The code below moves the site info down and changes the color of the periods on both lines. If you change the font color the way you did before, and then change the color in the code below to the same color you should be set.
.site-info{ clear:both; color: <insert color>; }Please let me know if you need anything else!

Thanks again! Think I’ll have to play around with my footer left and centre widgets before positioning the right site info text.
I need help to expand the width of both (left and centre) widgets but that is another topic, I think. -

I’m happy to help you with that, but it would be better to start a new thread. Here’s the link where you can do that:
