Modifying Byline for Link Posts
-
Could someone help me with custom CSS to change the byline, which is currently “(Date) by (Author)”, so that when a post uses the “Link” format, the byline changes to “Date” Linked by (Author)”.

Hi, it looks like your site isn’t hosted here at WordPress.com and instead you have a self hosted WordPress.org install. The CSS code to add is below but next time you might try asking in the WordPress.org support forums as, in general, the volunteers there will be better placed to help you.
article.format-link .byline::before { content: " linked "; } -
Many thanks, that worked perfectly! Sorry about posting in the wrong place, I’ll be sure to go to the right support forums next time.

It’s not a problem, you’re not the first and you certainly won’t be the last to do so!
The two “flavours” of WordPress are pretty different so I thought I’d mention it, especially if you have an issue with a plugin, or security or backups or something WordPress.com users here don’t deal with.
