Modifying footers

  I’ve recently taken over maintenance of our website on wordpress and need to make a change to the footer that is on each page but I can’t find where it is located in wordpress?

  Hello! What is the website URL you need help with? If it’s a WordPress.com site (not a self-hosted WordPress install – if you aren’t sure, read more here), the footer text may be a Widget.

  Go to the site’s Customizer, and select “Widgets.” If your content shows up there, you should be able to edit it.

  Most WordPress.com sites also have some text in the footer that show the site name and some variation of the WordPress brand. You’ll find that option under “Site Identity.”

  Finally, there may be some updates in the “CSS” tab if it’s a Premium (or higher) plan.
