Modifying the RSS feed widget

  Can you limit the amount of characters of the RSS feed? For instance, can you just have it display 140 characters?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Yes, I guess you must limit your RSS feed to summary to get this working as you want to…

  You can set the RSS entry length. You can choose between “Full Text RSS” and “Summary”. To find this option you need be in your dashboard and then click on “settings” on the left side. There you click on “reading”.

  Then search for the entry “For each article in a feed, show ” and choose between summary or full text.

  Note: This will affect your RSS feed too and not only the widget.

  I did make that change, but am not seeing any change at this point. I will check another network to make sure it is not a caching issue, but I also cannot tell if it’s just because I do not have a [More…] defined in each post.

  The problem more so is if I want to display somebody else’s feed (let’s same CNN’s) but just need the first 140 characters unlike 3-4 sentences, I do not see a way to just say “only show XX amount of characters”

  About the characters.. I guess you can´t set them. I don´t know of an option that would allow us to do so.
