Hello
I want to make a connection between my WordPress’s blog and my domain name but there is an accent ( accent grave on the first e of indemedia) so it is not working
What can I do? Is it a bad point for referencing? I imagine but what is your opinion? The name is Corsican it means our media.

Another information : when I try to load my domain name in wordpress.com it says : “Le domaine ne peut être mappé avec un blog WordPress.com en raison d’un terme présent sur la liste noire”

Can you please give me the domain you are trying to map? It is not possible to map domains using special characters to WordPress.com, but if you give me the domain I can make sure for you.

Thanks for the domain. Unfortunately you won’t be able to map it here as we don’t support accented characters like that at all at this stage.

What you could do is purchase a plan and register the domain, indemedia.com, if it’s available, so your site appears at that domain. Then at the provider where you bought indèmedia.com, set up a redirect from that to indemedia.com. Your site will appear at the second domain in people’s browsers, but the first domain will also take them to your site with this setup, so you can use the domain with the accented character on your business cards, etc.

it is not available, it is used by a Spanish website….
I will check for indemedia.fr or indemedia.corsica but I do not think it is a good choice for referencing

I though i have to redirect from the provider to my wordpress blog?

Your domain, indèmedia.com, cannot be mapped here. So for that domain, you’ll need to set up a redirect to WordPress.com from your domain provider instead.
indemedia.fr/indemedia.cc/indemedia.corsica, can all be mapped here. So with those domains you don’t need to set up a redirect. To use one of those domains here you need to first add a plan under My Site ->Plans. Then you can add domain mapping to connect the domain to your WordPress.com site.
You will need to point the domain to us from your domain provider, but this is not the same as a redirect. You will need to ask your domain provider to change the name servers to point to us instead. The process is explained in more detail at the link I gave above.
