Hello,
I have a serious problem. I paid for my new homepage on wordpress, but then i discovered wordpress.com published all my private data on the internet! where i live, phone, email, everything (for example servicehostnet.com etc. )! I’m shocked and desperate. this is not my wish at all. i want this to be cancelled immediately.
I don’t want to write here in this thread the name of my homepage, because everybody would read my private data. And I don’t want to. Can I text the adress of my homepage private/email to you?Please help.

Then what is the site you need help with? It’s impossible to investigate if you don’t tell us the correct site.
If you bought a domain and you did not buy private registration, then your contact information you provided will appear on the public Whois database. It is mandatory for the contact information of ALL domain owners to provide contact information that appears in this database. This is true no matter where you buy a domain – all domain providers must collect this information and add it to this database.
We offer private registration as an option to prevent your data from appearing on the database – if you add private registration data from a proxy service is displayed instead – but if you choose not to enable private registration there is no way we can hide your data otherwise.

I wanted a homepage on strato.de and they tell me i should activate wordpress (as app) and i did. There was no information about privacy options and payments for private registration. Then I discovered that all my personal data are now on the internet. I was shocked, so i disactivated the wordpress app on strato.de. But my information is still online. I wrote some sites to please cancel this, but i have still no response.
This is horrible. How is it possible to cancel my private data from these sites forever??
My family is scared, we absolutely don’t want this. -

It is impossible to give you an accurate answer if you don’t tell me what the site is, but if your site is with strato.de, it’s not a WordPress.com site, but a self-hosted site using the WordPress.org software and with no connection at all to us. We cannot do anything about a WordPress.org site, or a domain registered with another service like Strato.de. It’s a different company and have nothing to do with us.
Please contact Strato.de for help with this.
