modlook:wordpress audio player accessibility issues
-
I like to embed audio in my blog and website, but I have trouble:
The player doesn’t show up on one of my screen readers, jaws for windows, and on the other just says “embedded object.” and doesn’t play. Sighted people can use it just fine, but for us blind people, well not so much. Can you entegrate a blind friendly user interface so blind people can play audio? Thanks, Steve.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi Steve, thank you for reporting this issue. Our developers are aware that there are some problems with screen readers and embedded audio. Unfortunately, I cannot provide an exact timeline for when they will be able to resolve this issue.
If you are interested, WordPress is developed by a community (the software is open source), and in fact there’s a group of individuals and developers dedicated to Accessibility. You can follow along on their chats, development, and perhaps even contribute to the discussion and/or be a beta tester by following this site: http://make.wordpress.org/accessibility/
