    The main font is virtually always defined in the body selector in the CSS, and then where other fonts are required for other elements in the design, the font for that particular element is redefined.

    Example body selector

    body {
    background:url("img/bg.jpg") repeat-x scroll 0 0 #BEC3C6;
    color:#555555;
    font-family:Verdana,"BitStream vera Sans",Helvetica,Sans-serif;
    font-size:12px;
    }

    Example font overriding definition (overrides font set in body) for h_ fonts/sizes

    h1, h2, h3, h4, h5, h6 {
    font-family:Arial;
    font-weight:bold;
    letter-spacing:-0.05em;
    }

    I am a beginner…

    I see how to change most everything from the DASHBOARD for Modularity Lite. I see no way (no dashboard tool/option) to change the CSS.

    Do I have to copy the appropriate style sheet over to my local machine…make a change…copy it back…then reload a page to see if I did it right?!?!

    There must be an easier way!

    Thanks, –bill

    At wordpress.com CSS works a little differently and it is not advisable to paste the entire stylesheet into the CSS edit window unless you are completely changing virtually everything. We don’t/can’t actually edit the theme’s stylesheet at wordpress.com.

    Paste only the specific selectors and the specific declarations that you are adding or changing into the edit window and then make sure that the “add to existing…” button is clicked. Your CSS changes and additions are loaded after the main stylesheet and override like sections of the original.

    For reference, copy the original stylesheet out and into a plain text editor and save it on your computer.
