Modularity Lite max image width featured image
-
Hey, I’ve been using Modularity Lite for a few days now and have two problems:
1)
I’ve activated the sidebar, but whenever I upload new photos, WP tells me the max width is 950 pixels. This would be true without the sidebar, but with, it should be 590 pixels. Is it possible to change this value without buying the CSS upgrade? If you leave it like it is now (950px) and check the blog out in the better browsers, like FF, Chrome, Safari etc. It resizes just fine, but when you check it in Internet Explorer (I use v8), it looks horrible!
2)
The slideshow really is awesome, but for the older posts, it seems to ignore the image that is set as featured. When you look at my blog’s slideshow (pasublog.com), you’ll see it works fine on the new post that I created yesterday with the title of the post on the image, but for the next two, you’ll see the boxart of the figure and the old photo, instead of the newly created images (that I have set as featured image for that post)The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

1) Go to Settings>Media, set 600 as the width for the Large option, save changes. Then select Large instead of Full when inserting images.
2) The slideshow doen’t use the featured image of a post: it uses the first image that had been uploaded to the post the regular way.

Thanks a lot, panaghiotisadam! You saved the day~!
I guess I can’t change the slideshow images then, that’s a shame…

You’re welcome!
You can change what the slideshow displays, but it’s complicated: you’ll have to delete all the images of the post from the Media Library, then upload them again to the post, making sure the one you want on the slideshow is the first you upload. I don’t think it’s worth the trouble: just keep this characteristic in mind for future posts.
