Modularity Lite Smilies Alignment
-
Hi folks,
Very happy with Modularity Lite. It lets me do things that with the previous theme I could only dream of…
But still a tiny question:
When I use smilies they don’t want to go where I put them creating my post (at the end of a sentence) but somewhere between 2 lines, pushing the lines apart. Not the end of the world but it does looks kind of funny, really. Same thing happens when someone uses them in comments. I could always decide not to use them, of course, but it’s not fair on visitors either…Is there anything I can do to make them behave as smilies should, appearing where they are meant to be and not hanging in limbo?
Thanks and grts

This is something that staff should definitely fix, so I suggest you contact them directly on it at http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ .

You’re welcome, and they should be able to fix it pretty easily. It’s just a bit of adjustment in the CSS.

Not my strongest point, CSS… I can read it, know what is where – and I know enough of it not to start fiddling around… :-)
Inspiring and thought-provoking website, by the way.

Thanks for the compliment, and staff should fix this for you. It should be fixed as it is a problem.
CSS is just a matter of looking around and seeing the relationship between the markup (HTML) and the CSS. The rest is pretty much a matter of keeping the W3C CSS school site link handy to see what the different values are for the ID and class selectors. It ain’t rocket science, and as long as you work at it a little at a time, you can always revert back to where you were. -
