  Can a accordion module be inserted in another accordion module

  If so, you can use this:

  It works, but the effect doesn’t look great, in my opinion, and it’s not a great user experience to have to drill down to find the answer one is looking for. Still if you want to use it, you can. And if your site supports CSS you could style it up a bit.
