Monetization of Blog to Amazon Affiliate Program

    I’d like to be able to link featured items to my Amazon Affiliate plan. Which plan do I need to subscribe to so that I can add a photograph of an item and a link to Amazon? Thanks so much.

    You can use Amazon Affiliate links on any of the WordPress.com accounts, including the free one. Please take a look at the Affiliate section of the Monetizing your site page for some additional details: https://en.support.wordpress.com/monetize-your-site/

    Most of the configuration for Amazon Affiliates will happen on their site. You’ll need to sign up for an account with Amazon, figure out which items you want to promote and create your affiliate links inside their portal.

    Once you have them, you’ll copy the links into your WordPress.com site.

    In addition, when you are inside your Amazon Affiliates dashboard and create a new product link, Amazon will give you blocks of code that you can use to create links.

    The “Text and Image” option contains iFrame code, which is not compatible with WordPress.com so you won’t be able to use that.

    But you can copy the text only or the image only code block and paste that into the HTML editor of your page or post.
