Monetization of blog via subscription

    Hi, can I start offering subscriber only premium content from the very beginning when I launch my new blog? Or is there any prerequisites vfrom WordPress that I need to satisfy before I can do this? Please advise.

    So, you have a number of different options for doing this on WordPress.com. Can you tell me a little more about your site plans? That will help me point you in the right direction.

    The most basic option is to use the Premium Content Block:

    This requires a paid WordPress.com plan, but will work with any of our paid plans, including the Personal plan:

    With the WordPress.com Business plan, you have more options via subscription plugins, of which there are many out there offering lots of different features.

    One way to go might be to set up WooCommerce and use the Membership extension:
